Ghana’s local currency continues to experience persistent depreciation against major foreign currencies like the US dollar. Checks by YawaNews on November 12, 2024, show that the cedi is trading at GH¢17.20 to the dollar, while the pound is trading at GH¢21.53 at several major forex bureaus across the country.

Larry Madowo has however praised Ghana’s Kumasi Airport as one of the nicest regional airports in Africa, according to him his favorite feature of the airport is how much natural light you get in the Kumasi Airport, now the Prempeh I International Airport.
