Next Gen Infraco (NGIC) has confirmed that Tony Mintah, a senior manager with the company, has been located and is safe.
The announcement follows a swift and professional response from the Ghana Police Service after Mr. Mintah was reported missing.
In a statement, NGIC expressed gratitude to the police and the public for their support and vigilance during the search.
“Your assistance was invaluable,” the company stated.
The police initially reported that Mr. Mintah had been taken from the National Communications Authority (NCA) by unidentified individuals, prompting a public appeal for information.
Citizens were encouraged to report any relevant details to the designated hotline, 0547927272.
Mr. Mintah’s disappearance occurred just a week before the planned launch of Ghana’s 5G services on November 1, a project highlighted by Communications Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful during the launch of NGIC in June, which aims to provide affordable 5G mobile broadband services.
The management of NGIC thanked the authorities and the public for their ongoing efforts during this challenging time.
