Solomon Owusu, a leading member of the Movement for Change, has shockingly revealed that about 90 per cent of people accused of stealing funds are supporters of the former vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Solomon Owusu, a typical example of an NPP’s appointee accused of stealing public funds are persons involved in the national service scandal.

He noted that  National Service Scheme, Mustapha Ussif, former Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), Osei Assibey Antwi and former Deputy Director in charge of Finance and Administration, Gifty Oware-Mensah, are all Bawumia loyalists.

Speaking on TV3 New Day Show on Wednesday, July 2, Solomon Owusu stated, “If you look at what is happening in the country right now, about 90% of those accused of stealing public funds were supporters of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia”.

“A typical case is the national service scandal. We are told they took a lot of money – GHC250 million. This happened in 2023, during the NPP internal election, where they were flaunting wealth as if they had money-printing machines in their homes”. he added.

According to Solomon Owusu, in 2028, the candidate Ghanaians have been waiting for is the last John.

Solomon Owusu added, “None of them seems to have a firm stance. In 2028, the candidate Ghanaians have been waiting for will emerge – the last John. Remember, we’ve had Jerry John Rawlings, John Evans Atta Mills, and then we made the mistake of introducing Nana Akufo-Addo. That’s where the country lost its way.

“We reversed it with John Mahama, and things began to stabilise. 2028 belongs to Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen”, he stated.
