Parliamentary candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Hon. Stone, has warned the youth not to be influenced by the NDC and NPP with 50pesewas and 5cedis notes.
During an outdoor interview with Berla Mundi aired on TV3’s New Day show, he cautioned the youth, “Don’t be following 50ps and 5cedis and be voting unnecessary votes. Think about your future. Think about your tomorrow. Don’t think today. Someone may come and give you 50cedis from NDC or NPP then you’ll take because everyday you don’t have money but you have to think if you get a child, your child also has to grow up. If everyday, you take 50cedis, you chop, when are you growing?”
He advised that taking such small amounts of money to vote for the NPP or NDC will only solve their hunger problem for one day and leave them with the long term consequences of having the wrong people in power, hence, they will never be able to grow or move forward.
“I’m the PPP candidate and in fact, we are suffering very much in this town. Whether NPP or NDC, the two both parties, they’re very liars. They’re very ‘trickers’ so you want proper work, vote for PPP, Hon. Stone”, he campaigned.
Talking about some issues that the people of Kpone Katamanso are facing that neither the NPP nor NDC have bothered to fix, he said, “Number one, our roads, our gutters, when rain fall, even it enter some people rooms for Kpone Katamanso here so they have to vote for me. I can work”.
To further convince the people, Stone highlighted some things that he looks forward to doing if he is voted into power as Member of Parliament for Kpone Katamanso. “Number one, I’ll put on labor office for the youth. We get labor office but people don’t understand what is called labor office. When they say labor office, we create place that when you’re a youth, even if you’re hungry of work, when you come, we get artisans and hand workers that we can find you some”, he assured.
The aspiring MP also promised to fix the roads in Kpone Katamanso and build a proper market in the district for the people to curb the problem of them having to go all the way to Ashaiman market, hence, solving the issue of people getting robbed or attacked.
