The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Lawyer Vincent Ekow Assafuah has leaked a WhatsApp group message of the National Democratic Congress members of parliament.
According to the members of parliament, the NDC is planning lawless today and described them as a shameless minority who cannot even trust themselves.
According to the alleged leak WhatsApp group chat of the NDC MPs, the MP for Madina asserted that there will be no budget hearing stating the NPP MPs can go to the Supreme Court to compel them to come back to parliament.
Hon. Susu also suggested that all 34 constituencies in Accra should contribute at least 200 constituents who will storm parliament today.
Clement Apaak in the chat is quoted saying, “Showdown assured on Tuesday we shall see how the CJ enforce the nonsensical order by the SC”.
Hon. Edward Bawa in the alleged chat detailed that their priority is to come to parliament visibly engaged in the fight.
The claimed leaked WhatsApp chat also featured key NDC MPs like Hon. Clement Apaak, Hon. Roskson Dafeamekpor, Hon. John Jinapor, and Hon. Mahama Ayariga.
Meanwhile, Parliament is sitting today after the Supreme Court overturned a decision made by the Speaker of Parliament to declare four seats vacant in parliament.
The NDC caucus has reiterated its position as the majority in parliament despite the supreme court ruling, with the NPP caucus also insisting they are the majority in parliament.
