Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson, has made a post that seems to be a reaction to US-based Ghanaian actor and comedian, Michael Blackson’s call out to Ghana’s Ministry of Finance.
Her post, which she made on X, read, “Your privilege will not protect you from GHANA!! You may enjoy access to things, people and get in front of the line, but trust me- GHANA CAN STILL HAPPEN TO YOU. So when people talk, don’t act like it’s not your problem because you get to party with the rich. E go reach you”.
This may as well be directed not only at Michael but all Ghanaians in the diaspora and rich people who are less concerned about happenings in Ghana just because they are born in other countries.
This comes following Blackson’s call out to Ghana’s Ministry of Finance and Finance Minister for putting him in a state of financial setback after losing his money in the government’s Eurobond investment.
According to him, the investment was his support plan for funding the non-
Profit school he built in Ghana, however, due to Ghana’s debt restructuring, which has been termed the ‘haircut’, his plan has now gone haywire as he will now receive only 1.95% in interest instead of the initial 10% at his time of agreement.
The actor-comedian lamented not heeding his financial advisor’s warning not to invest, expressing his disappointment in his motherland for breaking his trust, and further vowed to take Ghana to the world court.
