The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy General Secretary Mustapha Gbande has boldly declared that Akufo-Addo’s statue in Takoradi will be removed at all costs.
Mustapha Gbande quoted by Accra-based Starr FM, the quote reads, “President Akufo-Addo’s statue in Takoradi will be removed at all costs”.
Last week news broke of President Akufo-Addo honoring himself by unveiling a statue of himself.
The statue is located at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi and was unveiled during his one-day “thank you” tour of the Western Region on Wednesday, November 6.
The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah explained that the statue honors the president’s initiatives in the region.
The rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.
Meanwhile, the above-mentioned project remains incomplete.
