A video has surfaced of a middle-aged woman caught attempting to steal.
The information gathered suggests the woman was caught at a boutique in Koforidua while allegedly attempting to steal.
Reports suggest that some months ago, CCTV footage from the same store captured her in a similar act.
According to the boutique owner, the woman first visited her shop about three months ago, posing as a customer interested in purchasing clothes.
The boutique owner narrated that while being shown various items, she reportedly grabbed some items and fled before staff could respond.
She revealed that the incident was captured by the store’s CCTV cameras, but the suspect managed to escape at the time.
The shop owner affirmed that on her most recent visit, her staff quickly identified her from the earlier footage and kept a close watch.
She was caught and detained when she attempted to repeat the act.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the video by saying, “What’s actually going on? Women caught stealing here and there, or is it because they aren’t treated just like how male thieves are being treated when caught?”.
“In this Mahama government where everything is cheap and work everywhere, it saddens my heart to see able men and women opt to steal rather than work for their own money”, another netizen wrote.
One more netizen stated, “Looking at her face, you can tell she knows how to insult papa”.
