According to him, he suffered both spiritual and physical attacks on his person, attacks he claims were orchestrated by members of the ruling NPP at the time.

“A month to election they (NPP) tried every means spiritual means every means possible to get us they didn’t get us. They tried to use the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) and Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to frustrate me,” he revealed in an interview with Bola Ray.

Mustapha Gbande further revealed he also had his houses demolished under the supervision of the ruling NPP at the time.

“A poor young man under their (NPP) regime, they had my houses demolished and that happened in 2020. I had an issue with a private individual who said where I was building belonged to him. This is a man I had engaged, while I engaged my landlords and they were in court. So I told him that he had an option to add me to the case in order to restrain me from building my house or we could have an agreement where I paid him whatever sum so I was not part of the litigation,” he narrated.

The politician disclosed the man in question agreed and the two became friends.

After a while, Mustapha Gbande decided to construct a road for the community’s use.

“One day I constructed a road for everyone to use and he asked me why I constructed the road, telling me I didn’t have the right to do that. I  also told him fly when coming to my house.”

The argument resulted in the man in question Mustapha a thief and threatened to demolish his house when his government came to power.

“Truly when President Akufo-Addo came to power in 2020 he got support from the government. One morning no action of a court was served on me, no information was given to me. I left my home at 6am and they demolished my houses without leaving me a pin, a shirt and I had to go through all these,” he narrated.
