A social media user has bashed the State Transport Corporation (STC) for disregarding the safety of passengers but using faulty buses and not prioritizing maintenance.
His criticism comes after he spotted one STC bus with registration number GB 1063-20, transporting passengers on a trip on the Accra-Kumasi highway.
In the video, the STC bus could be seen being unbalanced as it seemed the bus had a poor alignment. The bus can be seen “crooked” as it constantly veered off the road no matter how hard the driver tried, putting passengers at risk.
In the video posted on X, the man can be heard screaming, “Just look at the bus moving. It is an STC bus and the bus is only moving sideways. The bus is going sideways but instead of the driver stopping to check what the fault is…look he just veered of the road. This is very bad, you’re on the high way and the bus is not in a good condition. It is going sideways and the driver won’t stop and fix it.”
The man could be heard raising concern over how the driver was risking the lives of passengers, especially after the driver overtook another on the highway.
“He is risking people lives. The car is not balanced and he won’t stop and check the problem and let the car go straight. Citizens look at the STC bus, look at it. The bus is going sideways and they’re refusing to look at the problem. He overtakes other cars and the bus goes sideways and the driver is also travelling at a top speed. You know your car is not in a good condition and you have a lot of passengers in the car but look at this,” he complained.
Intercity STC Coaches Limited offers a comprehensive range of bus transportation services, encompassing both domestic and international routes. The STC website says the organization has well-established network connects various cities within Ghana, as well as key destinations across West Africa.
Sadly, the STC boasts of good valuation services, offering it services to corporate Ghana and all interested bodies. However, STC fails to valuate it vehicles and ensure they are of good standings as shown in the video.
The video generated several comments from social media users with some sharing their “expert views” on the fault.

@General_K88 – Axle issue or alignment I sure say driver know waa He dey use eye red go reach destination Smh hm
@Michelblaq – The driver is very much aware he just wants to manage and get to where he is going to … Or he doesn’t know
@Prof_Arcane – Is called horizontal lozenging.
@Pro_designer_ – So why didn’t the guy confront them after doing the video. So if something bad happens that is where you’re going to see him say “I said it”. Wei
@SpecialBwoy – You should have call the police showing online is good too but with stc when they reach stc yard for rest..they check all this before the bus continues..so maybe they wants to get to thier yard and change of bus
@OboloJnr – With this I got some little information to share. There’s a bolt called center bolt holding the spring and at the back axle. This center bolt is at both ends i.e both springs sets on front and back axles. So when one gets spoilt the car skews to the other end that hasn’t.
