I am putting it on record: Gifty Oware, up until today, has not been invited by any security agency”, he added.

Gifty Oware Mensah further revealed they wrote to the National Investigations Bureau because of the president’s remark during the State of the Nation Address and publications about her being on the run.

Mr Awuah emphasized, “We wrote because, following the arrest of Kwaku Ohene, there were a lot of publications stating that the NIB was looking for her and that she had absconded.
Subsequently, the president went to Parliament to make a similar allusion, although her name was not mentioned. So, when we put one and two together, we concluded that all references were to her,”

“Now, when you put these facts together, would you describe her as a flight risk?” he quizzed.

Meanwhile, yesterday 4 February 2025 a video surfaced of Gifty Oware Mensah arriving at the Kotoka International Airport after reports she had gone into hiding as the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) intensified its investigation.

In the video shared by social media influencers, Kalyjay Gifty Oware Mensah was captured at the arrival hall of Terminal 3 at the Kotoka International Airport.

According to reports Gifty Oware Mensah is set to present herself to the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) for investigation.

Reports revealed Gifty Oware-Mensah was in Morocco with the female national team as the chairperson of the Management Committee.

It was also claimed Gifty Oware-Mensah will come back to Ghana with the team and avail herself of accountability.

Gifty Oware-Aboagye has been fingered deeply in the NSS ghost name scandal, according to reports she oversaw the payment of some allowances into the accounts of 81,885 ghost service personnel.

Honourable Mustapha Ussif, Akufo-Addo’s first NSS CEO, Henry Nana Boakye a board member of the NSS, Gifty Oware, Kwaku Ohene Djan, Osei Assibey Antwi are among the 5 fingered in the NSS ghost scandal.

Reports about 17 persons could likely be invited for questioning as the NSS ghost name scandal started from 2017 to 2024 when they were exposed.
