Government has announced the appointments of three new Security Service Chiefs, marking a significant step in strengthening Ghana’s security framework.
The appointments, effective immediately, were revealed in a statement from the Presidency.
The newly appointed officials are:
1. Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service- DDGP 3 Patience Baffoe-Bonnie
2. Chief Fire Officer- DCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong
3. Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service- DCI Samuel Basentale Amadu
This announcement comes after the swearing-in of the new Inspector General of Police, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
The newly sworn in Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno has assured President John Dramani Mahama that professionalism, transparency, integrity and fairness shall underpin his administration.
According to him, the new zeal he’s bringing into the Police service will focus on renewing attitude and performance.
Delivering a keynote address during the swearing in ceremony today, March, 14, 2025, Christian Tetteh Yohuno said he will position the service to meet the aspirations of the Ghanaian people and Forster peace and security in the Country.
He reaffirmed his commitment to engaging the public to promote the police service.
