Kofi Adoma Nwanwani the host and CEO of KOFI TV and Radio has sadly revealed he wished for death rather than living with the pain and negative narratives surrounding his gunshot incident.
He made this comment following his first public appearance following the tragic incident that resulted in severe injuries to his eye.
Kofi Adoma stated, “At one point, I thought it was better to die than to live because of some of the narratives I was hearing about myself,” he bitterly lamented.
He further condemned his people from Bono for betraying him, “My headaches, as I am speaking right now my head is aching, but I wish to talk because I don’t know what will happen, at least If I can speak before whatever happens occurs at least I have spoken”.
“Some people claim it was just a powder that poured on my eye, some said it was not like that when I heard some I screamed”.
“If anybody will do this to me, I didn’t expect it to come from Bono people,” he added.
According to Kofi Adoma, even though he respects the support given to him by the Angel group, he wasn’t happy with the decision by the CEO of Angel FM, Vincent Opareto put out figures he had donated to support him.
He further asserted that the CEO courted insults for him because he should know we have spent huge sums on the condition.
According to reports Kofi Adomah held a press briefing, at his residence in Oyarifa, Accra, and addressed issues surrounding the incident, clarified details, and provided updates on his situation.
He stated, “I heard my CEO speak in an interview and he was mentioning amounts they’ve given to me and I said to myself that the CEO does not respect my emotions. He does not respect my feelings.
He thinks about his brand and not how I’m feeling. I thought to myself if he wants to court insults for me because he should know we have spent huge sums on the condition,” he added.
Meanwhile, Nana Abena Etruba I, the Benkumhene of Gomoa Amanful and wife of Ghanaian media personality Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii has fired shots at the Dormaahene, Dr Agyemang Badu II over his silence on her husband’s situation.
Kofi Adomah’s wife bitterly lament the neglect they have faced from the Dormahene, even though Kofi’s predicament was caused by his people in Dormaa.
Addressing the press on March 13, 2025, she stated, “Dormaahene should understand that there is a God. He should understand that I am born into Christianity and there is a God. I know a God who speaks for people who are voiceless but I have a voice and can speak. I decided to keep quiet. Now I’m on a stool and I believe on Dormaahene’s stool that they will speak for him”.
She added, “I know at the right time, the stool of Nana Dormaahene will speak for their royal, Kofi Adoma Nwanwanii and because of that, I have forgiven them. I am telling him if he goes to church and that is if he does, he should tell God that we said we have forgiven him and it’s not all about money.”
“I will not talk but there is God. Unless the stool he sits on does not belong to him but if it really does belong to him, the powers of the stool will speak. I leave everything to Dormaahene’s stool that the power in his stool that his ancestors have never spoken for will speak and he should understand that,” she stated.
