Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso and former deputy Finance Minister, Dr. Stephen Amoah says Ghanaians have are saddened and regretted voting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) out of power.
According to him, the citizens wish they could take back their decision to vote the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to office.
Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Dr. Amoah expressed frustration over the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government’s confusion, particularly regarding their own 24-hour economy policy, which they had promised to the public.
He revealed that after conducting research and gathering primary data from 31 NDC Members of Parliament, he found that they all offered different interpretations of the same policy. Dr. Amoah emphasized that the NDC administration seems to have no clear understanding of the very policy they vowed to implement.
“Let’s come to something they call 24-hour economy, I’ve conducted my own research and collected primary data. I’ve asked 31 NDC MP’s and they all give different definitions, one policy infinite definition.”
“The fact is the NDC guys do not sit to analyze things before they come out. What is the 24-hour economy? They have no idea of what they want to do,” he said on the floor of parliament.
He stated that Ghanaians have deeply regretted their choice in electing the NDC into power.
“Ghanaians are tired of the NDC and have regretted voting for them. If you don’t know let me tell you, Ghanaians have regretted and are saddened, Ghanaians are crying,” he reiterated.
