Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has been shamed for celebrating the purchase of a Rolls Royce Cullinan.
According to Ghanaian blogger, Bongo Ideas, Ghanaians keep celebrating mediocrity rather than focusing on promoting the nation’s music.
Comparing Ghanaian musicians to their Nigerian counterparts, Bongo Ideas intimated that whiles Nigerian artistes are sharing the big stages with global music icons, Ghanaian musicians are only focused on showing off what they have.
Chastising Shatta Wale and Ghanaians for discussing the musicians purchase of a Rolls Royce with over 1,000 posts, he claimed this move was a mere cry for attention.
“If not for mediocrity why should Shatta Wale getting himself a Rolls Royce be news that trends for days….huh?” he wrote on X.
“Making 1000 posts about a mere car while Burna dems are on Grammy stages is a serious cry for attention,” he added.
He indicated that such actions go to prove that the Ghanaian music industry “has sunk into the gutters!”
Social media was awash with celebratory posts of Shatta Wale purchasing a Rolls Royce Cullinan over the weekend.
