Nigerian songstress, Tems has won the Best African Music Performance award at the 67th Grammy Awards.
Tems swept the award with her song ‘Love Me Jeje’, beating fellow Nigerians Burna Boy (City Boys), Davido & Musa Keys, Ayra Starr, and Asake & Olamide who were also nominated in the same category.
The award marks another milestone in Tems’ career, further establishing her influence on the global music scene.
Her latest achievement adds to a growing list of international accolades, reinforcing her status as a leading figure in contemporary African music.
The ceremony, held in Los Angeles on 2 February 2025, saw the artist take to the stage with her team and her mother to accept the accolade.
Delivering an emotional speech after her victory, she thanked her team, for their immense contribution to her success.
She also celebrated her mother who was also celebrating her birthday on the same day.
