Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has accused the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team, led by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, of undertaking unsanctioned surveillances of him.
According to him, the ORAL team for sometime now have been drones to spy on his private properties both in Accra and Winneba.
The Minority Leader revealed this has been going on for some time now, but he chose to ignore it.
According to him, his associates had reported multiple instances of suspicious drone activity, but he initially chose to remain silent. However, he emphasized that he had nothing to hide, asserting that all his assets were acquired legally.
“I was aware that these ORAL guys have been flying drones in Winneba over my property, I kept quiet, I managed it. They went to my beachfront property, mounted a drone, and flew it from the community center near the ‘Nshorna.’ My boys saw it, I told them to ignore it,” he said.
This revelation comes days after Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed some details of his landed property in Winneba during his (Ablakwa’s) vetting.
Afenyo-Markin further alleged that the drone surveillance extended beyond Winneba to his residence in Abelemkpe and other properties.
“In Abelemkpe, you’ll be there in the morning and you’ll see drones flying. The policemen have seen it, they told me, but I said ignore it. Sometimes, early in the morning, we see drones behind the rail line, and I know they are spying on my house. What business do drones have at the Minority Leader’s residence?” he asked.
