US based Ghanaian social commentator, Kevin Taylor had demanded the Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu (MP) drags Frank Annoh-Dompreh before parliament to answer for his unparliamentary behavior on the Appointments Committee yesterday, January 30, 2025.

According to Kevin Taylor, Haruna Iddrisu should expend the same energy he used to criticize his own National Democratic Congress (NDC) member (Emeafa Hardcastle) for the same Annoh-Dompreh.

Social media is awash with feelings of displeasure over the actions of Minority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh during the vetting of ministerial nominees.

The minority refused to vet Ministers-designate for Health and Foreign Affairs, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. During the period, a scuffle occurred between the majority and minority with some NPP MPs, including Annoh-Dompreh putting up some unparliamentary behaviors.

Annoh-Dompreh is on record directing members of the minority to dismantle the tables in the vetting room, an order they obeyed, eventually escalating the situation.

I don’t expect this comment from him. Such an imprudent statement from a member of parliament. pic.twitter.com/DW5IoXs6Ey

Some X users have justified the “silly child” comment directed at Annoh-Dompreh by Emeafa Hardcastle a few day back, saying his actions during the scuffle truly paint him as such.

Kevin Taylor also insists Annoh-Dompreh should be punished for his actions, with Haruna Iddrisu leading the charge.

“Haruna Iddrisu I am waiting for you to rush to parliament to ask the speaker to take action against Annor Dompreh like you did to your own party member. You think you can please @NPP_GH and become relevant in the NDC,” he wrote on his X page.
