A young Ghanaian has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Minority in Parliament is overly mischievous behaviors to unduly interfere with parliamentary proceedings.
He insists the appointment of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) Director is the only way to ensure the minority comports themselves.
He made this known following the clash between the majority and minority on the Appointments committee which led to the suspension of vetting in parliament yesterday, January 30, 2025.
Speaking to the press after the incident, he appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to without delay appoint someone to lead NACOB.
“It is very simple. If the minority thinks they are tired, they should walk out of parliamentary proceedings. It is as simple as ABCD….I am pleading with His Excellency John Mahama. This one it is a big proverb, when he appoints a Narcotics Control Board chairman, the minority will stop what they are doing.”
Some Ghanaians have questioned reasons for his proverb, with many asking whether the minority are drug users or dealers.
