Ace Broadcast Journalist Bridget Otoo has claimed the circle disaster was caused by wee, cigarettes plus petrol.
The Broadcast Journalist was reacting to an X user who stated his aunty told him the Kantamanto fire was caused by a cigarette or wee smoker. There’s always a night party after the market closes.
According to Bridget Otoo who reacted to the X post, she alluded to the fact that it could be possible for wee or a cigarette supporter to cause the fire at the Kantamanto market because, in 2015, it was wee and cigarette plus petrol that caused the circle disaster.
She wrote, “It can happen, happened at circle years ago 2015… wee/cigarette plus petrol! Caused circle disaster….”.
Fire erupted in the Kantamanto market area during the early hours of January 2, 2025.
The information gathered suggests the fire peaked around 1:00 AM to 1:20 AM and ravaged everything within a two-mile area.
“Around 1:20 AM, I received a call that the market was on fire. When I arrived, the place was in flames, and many stores had collapsed into ashes. The fire consumed shops along the roadside and deep into the market.”
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire has not yet been identified, some traders at the Kantamanto market say they suspect that the NDC is behind the devastating fire outbreak.
According to them, they believe that some members of the NDC deliberately set the market on fire in an attempt to secure the space for their people, now that they are in power.
