The newly sworn-in member of parliament for Adansi Asokwa Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi-Dorani has revealed KT Hammond took him for granted.
According to the Member of Parliament, KT Hammond thought he was a small boy because he had been in power for so long.
He further went on to thank his constituents for believing in him and trusting him.
Speaking to the media, Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi-Dorani stated, “He took me for granted, he thought I was a small boy, he thought maybe he has been in power for a very long time and has amassed much wealth, that is why I first thank my constituents for believing in me and trusting in me by giving me that victory”.
“I worked hard, God being so good to me too, all that I did, all that I said was heard by my people, and they gave me this chance, I am hoping to work very hard so I wouldn’t let them down”, he added.
KT Hammond lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi-Dorani. The NDC candidate secured 14,229 of the valid vote cast while KT Hammond secured 13, 275 votes.
The defeat ended KT Hammond’s decades-long tenure as MP for Adansi Asokwa: Hammond, a key figure within the NPP.
