President John Mahama has stated he will charge his security appointments to make Bawku one of the top priorities.
He assured the people of Bawku he was putting in place the various appointments so that we could have ministers and other officials responsible for security to take charge.
Speaking during his visit to Bawku President John Mahama stated, “We want to assure you that we are putting in place the various appointments so that we can have ministers and other officials responsible for security to take charge,”
“When these appointments are made, I’m going to charge them to make Bawku one of the number one priorities that they attend and deal with”, he added
John Mahama further called on the people of Bawku to exercise patience and restraint.
He added, “Exercise patience, exercise restraint, and let me assure you that I am apprised of the issue. I’m going to deal with it, and I can assure you have trust in myself and this administration that, by the grace of God, peace is going to come back permanently.”
John Mahama has underlined his commitment to engaging all stakeholders, he is expected in Nalerigu to deliver a message to the Nayiri, the overlord of the Mamprugu traditional area.
His visit underscores President Mahama’s determination to prioritize security and peacebuilding in areas affected by conflict.
