The former Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu has revealed he carries no guilt in his heart after he was replaced as Minority Leader in Parliament by the NDC leadership.
According to Haruna Iddrisu, he has never changed after being replaced because he had the rare opportunity to serve as a minority leader.
It will be recalled the NDC going into the 2024 elections replaced Haruna Iddrisu with Cassiel Ato Forson. According to the NDC, their decision was because the 2024 election was going to be about the Ghanaian economy.
Speaking at the Appointments Committee of Parliament on January 20, Haruna Iddrisu revealed, “There were some decisions that you’re guided collectively by the party, and then we take a decision. But as I said, I never, never changed [after] being replaced as a Minority Leader. I don’t carry guilt in my heart; I had my opportunity”.
He further revealed that he was not satisfied with the NPP in terms of the management of the economy.
“I went out there to campaign for the NDC because I was convinced that, in terms of the management of the economy, I wasn’t satisfied with how the NPP managed the country. I don’t carry guilt in my heart. I had the rare opportunity to serve” he added.
Meanwhile, the Education Minister-Designate, Haruna Iddrisu has declared that Ghana’s values have been defined and all other persons must respect them.
According to Haruna Iddrisu, LGBTQ+ practices are opposed to his Muslim values and ethics.
He asserted that many Ghanaian parents would want their children trained in a way which is not consistent.
