The first batch of President John Dramani Mahama ministers will be sworn in today January 22, 2025.

The six minister designates approved by parliament yesterday will be sworn in by President Mahama according to Presidency Communications.

They are Dr Ato Forson Minister for Finance, John Jinapor Minister for Energy & Green Transition, Dr Dominic Ayine Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Haruna Iddrisu Minister for Education, Eric Opoku Minister for Food and Agriculture and Kwame Agbodza Minister for Roads and Highways.

The six approvals follow the Committee’s recommendation of them as sector ministers for their respective ministerial positions.

The motion for approval was debated in Parliament on Tuesday, January 21.

Meanwhile, President John Dramani Mahama has nominated a total of 42 sector and regional ministers so far.

The 42 includes seven women and twenty-four members of Parliament (MPs).

The President has promised Ghanaians to work with 60 ministers, during the electioneering campaign.
