Dr Ayew Afriyie, the Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore has revealed, that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia served former President Akufo-Addo for 16 years now it is over.
According to him, Bawumia was punished by the ills of government,
He noted that the 2024 elections were more like a referendum against the leadership of the Akufo-Addo government.
Speaking on Oyerapa TV Dr Ayew Afriyie, revealed, “Bawumia has been punished by the ills of government, it is more of a referendum against the leadership of the government and governance”.
“What I am saying Bawumia has served Akufo Addo for 16 years now it is over period. When asked if Akufo-Addo will continue to be Bawumia’s boss he responded Are you sure? Are you sure?”, he added.
When pushed to answer if the rumours are true about a disagreement between Dr Bawumia and Akufo-Addo, the MP remained quiet.
Meanwhile, Dr Ayew Afriyie has blamed former President Akufo-Addo’s arrogance caused the NPP’s defeat in the 2024 elections.
According to Dr Ayew Afriyie, Akufo-Addo was going around ordering Chiefs to stand up and greet him which the Ghanaian people did not like.
