Special Aide to Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has sent a message to Ghanaians.

According to Joyce Bawa, John Mahama has every intention to make Women participate actively at all decision-making levels.

Her comments come after some Ghanaians have been criticizing the lack of a woman representation on John Mahama’s Oral team.

Joyce Baw wrote on X, “The Nomination of Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang is testament to our commitment towards women and women empowerment and equality. Remember that this ticket led by John Mahama is the most progressive and inclusive ticket ever for a major political party and we intend to deliver on 30% more additional female appointments”.

“We have a strong reason to support and celebrate the NDC for giving Ghana her very first Female Vice President Elect. That for me is the singular most powerful statement yet, that Women can”, she detailed.

She further added, “Each time you see a list of nominees, know that you will always have a choice, and add the fact also that today through the instrumentality of Mahama, we have a woman at the apex, the seat of government as Vice President Elect of Ghana and that is hugely Impactful and historic”.
