A resident of Kumasi has blamed the recent ‘dumsor’ on the re-election of President John Dramani Mahama.
According to the Kumasi resident even though there was dumsor during Akufo-Addo time it has become very rampant over the last few weeks after John Mahama was declared winner of the 2024 elections.
Speaking during an interview, the Kumasi residents stated, “What I can say is that when the NPP was in government, there was dumsor, but we didn’t see it that much, but from these two weeks how it has surfaced and looking at John Mahama and Nana Addo, with dumsor starting it is because we have re-elected Mahama that is why dumsor is coming again”.
“I am blaming him because after it was declared he was the winner some of his followers have started destroying things, they are even fighting over the toilet, so it will not be difficult for them to go to the ECG”, he claimed.
The Kumasi residents also added that he is going to stockpile candles and take out a loan to purchase a generator in anticipation of dumsor under John Mahama.
He added, “I have informed my family that I am going to look for candles and stockpile them down and have told one of my brothers to look for a loan for me to buy a generator and buy a gallon of petrol because the dumsor is coming back to stay with us”.
“Mahama is back so the dumsor will surely return, every week I bought one bundle down so it will sustain me during the dumsor”, he reiterated.
