Some polling agents for the New Force in the December 7, 2024 elections have appealed to the movement’s leaders to pay them for their work done.

Post the elections, a polling agent for Nana Kwame Bediako revealed that they were promised Ghc200.00 as payment for their work done but have not received a dime from the party up till now.

However, after the polling agents complained on a group WhatsApp page, they were told the amount has been reduced to Ghc100.00

One of the coordinators of the polling agents addressing them on the WhatsApp page said, “Our father Bediako, our brother and friend. We all know how well he performed in the just ended elections and the associated costs he has incurred. That is why we are pleading with you that the Ghc200 promised by Nana Bediako, I wish we can know show love towards him now that he is in financial difficulties to motivate and uplift him. I am pleading with you to slip the Ghc200 and forgo Ghc100 to show love to him.”

“This way we can work together in the future for the betterment of Ghana,” he added.

One of the polling agents who shared this message on social media and has doubts about what their leaders are telling them.

In the message, he sought to reach out to Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) to confirm what is being told them.

Nana Kwame Bediako of the New Force movement, who is commonly referred to as Cheddar has proven that he is indeed the new force in Ghana’s political terrain as he beat Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen by a difference of 53,276 votes in the 2024 presidential election.

He garnered a total of 84,478 votes to place third in the presidential election as against a well established political colossus in the name of Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen who placed 4th with a total of 31,202 votes.
