The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the December 7, 2024 elections for the Ledzokuku, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye has asserted that one must always bounce back after suffering setbacks in life.
According to him, the past should be left in the rearview as the future holds brighter prospects for determined individuals.
Taking to his X handle, Dr. Okoe Boye shared a video of him playing football with some constituents of the Ledzokuku constituency.
“A week ago, I went for elections and got beaten. I am up a week later taking on others on the pitch at the MCDAN Sports Complex, Teshie, a stadium I facilitated. In this life you have to always keep on moving, when you trip, get up because tomorrow’s battle can bring you glory,” his post on X read.
Dr. Okoe Boye who is the current Minister of Health was the MP for Ledzokuku from 7 January, 2017-7 January, 2021.
In 2024 however, Dr. Okoe Boye sought to reclaim the Ledzokuku seat from the incumbent Benjamin Ayiku.
He however failed to do that as Benjamin Ayiku managed to retain the seat, polling 53,375 votes to defeat Dr. Okoe Boye who managed 42,670 votes.
