Social media user @jeremyb__has taken a swipe at the Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
This follows an embarrassment he (Bawumia) suffered during the launch of e-gates at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
During the launch, Dr. Bawumia sought to go through the machine and demonstrate it to the media and all present at the event.
However, the demonstration failed as the gates refused to open for the Vice President.
In a post on X, @jeremyb___said, “machine koraa mpɛ wo na me nnipa dasani.” Tranlating to even machines dislike you how much more humans.
The initiative launched on Tuesday, December 3, is a landmark in Ghana’s efforts to modernize border management with a system designed, developed, and owned by Ghanaians.
The system integrates artificial intelligence, biometrics, and real-time data processing, streamlining airport procedures.
Holders of the Ghana card can now use e-gates for seamless entry without manual immigration checks. The system also accommodates members of the diaspora and international visitors through pre-registration of their biometric and travel information.
