Samuel M. Codjoe, a private legal practitioner of the Law Trust is hot as $400,000 loan repayment mysteriously goes missing since 2013.
The information gathered reveals, the $400,000 loan repayment allegedly vanished from Dalex Finance accounts after the debtor Ebenezer Denzel Amanor made payment in 2013.
The payment was made through a Cal Bank cheque paid by solicitors Sogbodjor, but Dalex Obeng Sakyi and Finance have denied receiving the amount. The solicitors Obeng Sakyi and Sogbodjor were debited $400,000 under the name of Dalex Finance.
It has been alleged that Samuel Codjoe received the CAL Bank Cheque written under the name of Dalex Finance, endorsed and received it, accompanied by Samuel M. Codjoe’s legal firm’s stamp and embossment, which showed its clearance.
According to reports Lawyer Samuel M. Codjoe later issued a handwritten receipt to Obeng Sakyi and Sobodjor and Dalex Finance claiming not to have recorded any of such payment.
The debtor Ebenezer Denzel Amanor is prepared to pursue legal action, Amanor in an interview stated, “This is not just a case of negligence; How can a $400,000 cheque cleared in 2013 simply vanish? There’s no explanation, no accountability”.
“I will not stop until justice is served. This is about accountability, not just for me but for everyone who relies on financial institutions to handle their money with integrity,” he added.
Meanwhile, the lawyer whose stamp and signature authenticated the cheque has denied any involvement in the vanished $400,000.
The question on the lips of many Ghanaians is whose pocket the money ended up in, the Lawyer Samuel Codjoe or Delax Finance CEO Kenneth Thompson.
