President-elect John Dramani Mahama’s 2016 concession speech has resurfaced on social media after he made an emphatic comeback in the 2024 elections.
John Mahama in his 2016 concession speech revealed he would have cherished an opportunity to do even more but he accepts the will of the Ghanaian people.
John Mahama stated, “I am profoundly grateful to the almighty God, and the people of Ghana, for the opportunity to serve in the high office of President, as president I have done my bit and made a contribution to the Political, social, and economic development of our country”.
“I would have cherished, an opportunity to do even more, but I respect the will of the Ghanaian people, I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to express my deepest gratitude, to the individuals who have made this journey with me”, he added.
Meanwhile, the people of Ghana are eagerly awaiting January 7, 2025, when President John Mahama will be sworn in to ensure that allegations of corruption under the Akufo-Addo Bawumia administration are investigated and government appointees prosecuted and imprisoned if found to have committed crimes against the country.
