The Gomoa central member of parliament elect Kwame A-Plus has quizzed how a political party like the New Patriotic Party (NPP) can have regional chairmen like Abronye and Wontumi.
Kwame Baffoe commonly known as Abronye DC is the Bono regional NPP chairman, while Bernard Antwi Boasiako alias Chairman Wontumi is the Ashanti regional chairman for the NPP.
According to A-Plus a former NPP member, the NPP’s humiliating defeat to the NDC in 2024 can also be blamed on having regional chairmen like Abronye DC and Chairman Wontumi.
Speaking to GHONE TV after his parliamentary victory in the December polls, he stated, “He has humiliated himself, a party like the NPP has regional minister like Wontumi and Abronye, a party NPP have regional chairmen like Wontumi and Abronye and this is the outcome of what they did, it is a shame, they have been humiliated, they have been silence and I am very excited about it, I am in power and they are in opposition”.
A Plus further detailed, “It is a great one, it is a beautiful one, Akufo-Addo has been humiliated and I am so excited about it, Akufo-Addo has destroyed the NPP, and it has become very clear, it has manifested for everybody to see”.
“If Akufo-Addo had not become president of Ghana we will be going about saying there was one guy who was going to change Ghana, Akufo-Addo is a shame, it is very unfortunate he does not even have time like how John Mahama had the chance to come back”, he detailed.
