In a shocking turn of event, some 1,210 presidential ballot papers have been reported missing from the Yendi Police armory.
Many have been left dumfounded by this as the Yendi Police armory is said to be the most secure location in the constituency.
This discovery was made during a pre-election audit as revealed by Security Analyst, Adib Saani.
The Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akufo Dampare has been called upon to take swift action and get to the root of the matter.
“We have a lot of people on the grounds who are monitoring hose things aee going. I received this news last night but had to verify as a journalist. But this morning I confirmed and it is safe to say that yes, indeed 1210 presidential ballot papers are missing in a police armory for crying out loud in Yendi. A police armory that is supposed to be the most secure place in the whole constituency.
Unfortunately someone was able to access it and tore the bag containing the materials and took out 1,210 presidential ballot papers. In the eve of the elections the electoral officers meet with the various political parties to audit the materials. It was during that audit that they found out that a 1,210 ballot papers are missing.”
