Host of the Good Morning Ghana show, Dr. randy Abbey has detailed the incidence that marred his Wednesday edition of his show.
It was reported that, during the stream and run of the show, a group of thugs accompanied by armed Police men forcibly entered the studios while discussions were on going. The incidence propelled the halting of the show as a member of the private security at the premises of the Television Station got injured.
Explaining the situation after a series of altercation between the group and the police, Dr. randy Abbey mentioned that, the group initially blocked his vehicle as he arrived at the station in an attempt to seize his vehicle. He narrated that, all the people said was that, they were there on the basis of a court order against Metro TV.
He detailed also that, it appeared the group had been waiting for him long before he arrived to host his show in the morning. He bemoaned how armed security Officers were part of the incident even breaking into the studio while his show was on going.
He further described the incident as an impunity and a disgrace to the Police officers who were with the group. Meanwhile the Ghana Police Service has issued a statement announcing that they began an investigation into the matter.
The Police Service clarified that, preliminary Police investigations indicate that upon a request from the court, Police Officers accompanied a court bailiff in the company of the judgment creditor, Vodacom Business (Ghana) Limited, to execute a court order against Metro TV.
