Pope Francis the head of the Catholic Church and Sovereign of the Vatican City state has said Christians must pray with their heart and not with their lips.
According to Pope Francis, members of the Christian faith must offer prayers from the heart rather than loudly saying and shouting words of prayer.
He was speaking during an address to the general audience in the Vatican City.
In a video shared on social media, the Pope stated, “Don’t pray like parrots, please, don’t say blah blah blah, no, say Lord, but say it with your heart help me, Lord. I love you lord”.
“When you pray our Father, pray Father you are my Father, pray with your heart and not with your lips. Don’t act like parrots”.
Meanwhile, Pope Francis is set to make an Apostolic Journey to the Mediterranean island of Corsica, France, on 15 December to close an international conference on popular religious traditions organized by the Diocese of Ajaccio.
