The late Deputy Station Coordinator of Radio Ada, Noah Narh Dameh was on trial for allegedly publishing false news about businessman Daniel McKorley (McDan) before his death.

In the video shared by The Fourth Estate, the late Noah Dameh stated, “I want to put a verbal petition to the IGP, a verbal petition, a verbal plea to the IGP, that I am not safe in the country. I am not safe in the hands of his men in our locality and in the Tema region, I am not safe in the hands of a few people who want one man to take all the resources”.

“I am registering that if one day they’ve heard that I died a mysterious death it is about the Songor Lagoon that has been leased on monopoly to Electrochem company is that issue, that has put me into the grave”, he added.

He further lamented, “Because of the frequent harassment, tormentation, prosecution, and putting me behind a cell, coupled with the planned assassination on the 13th of January the police have since been silent on it, and they have now turned me and the victim to the accused”.

The exact cause of his death is not known, but sources suggest his health began to deteriorate after he reported on the controversial lease of the Songhor Lagoon to a single investor.

Noah Narh Dameh was an activist and a journalist who used his position at Radio Ada to advocate for the rights of the coastal community, commonly known for its salt production.
