Manchester United’s Manager, Ruben Amorim has admitted he gets anxious any time the team has to play.
His anxiousness is borne out of expectations and pressure on him to deliver winning streaks and good records for the club across all competitions.
Amorim’s comment comes after their wim against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League, marking the manager’s first win in two matches.
“I get anxious because I don’t know what will happen, you don’t control nothing at the moment – we are trying to see different things,” he said.
“I don’t know the players and we have not worked a lot together. We go to the game excited, but at the same time you are nervous because you don’t know how the game will go,” he told TNT Sports.
Amorim secured his first win as United manager with a 3-2 victory over Bodo/Glimt in his first home game.
Alejandro Garnacho gave United a quick lead and Rasmus Hojlund scored twice either side of the break to fire the Red Devils into 12th position in the standings.
Despite the victory, the Portuguese coach was far from satisfied with what he saw on the pitch and insisted that his troops must be more consistent.
