Ghanaian rapper, Edem says rude people have no place in his life.
His comments come after he was ‘dragged’ on social media after asking a young man to go back to his village if he can not afford rent in the nation’s capital, Accra.
Edem made this comment after the young man begged Ghc2000 from the rapper to top up his rent, which was due in a few days.
He stated that “in this time and age, I don’t think I would tolerate any human being who is rude.”
According to Edem, the young man had earlier one described him as a stingy person, and he argued that the young man coming back to ask him for money was “rude”.
Edem expressed surprise at some Ghanaians calling him stingy after he had embarked on a series of philanthropic deeds over the years.
He revealed that under the same live session where he refused the young man rent, he had helped enrol a three-year old girl in school some three weeks back.
“It’s intriguing because three weeks ago, I was on TikTok live and there was a lady called Vannessa with a three-year-old daughter who doesn’t have the means to go to school and we paid her fees and everything and put her in school,” Edem disclosed.
According to Edem, some persons specifically target artistes and send them messages begging for money.
