The Black Queens will face a daunting task as they look to contend with South Africa, a very formidable Women’s team in Africa in the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) group stage.

The tournament, which is set to take place from July 5 to July 26, 2025, will see the Black Queens drawn into Group C alongside the defending champions, South Africa, as well as Mali and Tanzania. The draw, conducted on November 22, 2024, at the Mohammed VI Complex in Morocco, has set the stage for an exciting competition.

Having missed out on the last edition of the tournament, the Black Queens made a strong comeback during the qualifying campaign, showcasing their determination and skill. Coach Hauptle’s leadership has been instrumental in revitalizing the team, and they are now focused on reclaiming their status among Africa’s elite football nations.
