According to the now minority leader Speaker Alban Bagbin is doing the bidding of the National Democratic Congress.

Afenyo Markin stated, “It is clear that Mr. Speaker avoided service of the writ to do the bidding of the NDC, it is so clear, but we believe in the law we as the Majority caucus immediately are boycotting parliament until this matter is determined by the Supreme Court”.

The now minority leader in parliament also asserted that Speaker Bagbin had no right to interpret the constitution saying, “The speaker has no right to interpret the constitution, and it is so clear that what he did was to give advantage to the NDC and do the bidding of the NDC we are not going further to litigate, we have a process in court we will follow it up if the court makes a pronouncement we will respect”.

Meanwhile, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, has officially declared four parliamentary seats vacant. They include Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah of Amenfi Central (NDC), Andrew Amoakoh Asiama of Fomena, Kojo Asante of Suhum (NPP), and Cynthia Morrison of Agona West (NPP).

This follows a formal petition submitted by Haruna Iddrisu, an NDC MP, to the Speaker.
