The Muslim grounds are calling on Napo to retract and apologize after claiming Mallams and Imams were contracted by the NDC to go around teaching basic school children LGBTQ under the Comprehensive Sexuality Education.

Speaking on a campaign platform in Kumasi-Bantama NAPO accused the NDC led by Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa of including comprehensive sexuality education in the curriculum for school children.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh stated boldly, “The NDC had already developed a curriculum that includes school children being taught that thing, the person who brought it was Okudzeto Ablakwa, they took Pastors and Imams to towns and communities and told teachers to teach how a boy kisses a boy, how a female and a female sleep together”

At a press conference, the Association of Liberal Muslims and the Coalition of Concerned Muslims of Ghana demanded Napo name the claimed Mallams and Imams or apologize and retract his statement within 3 days.

The spokesperson of the Muslim group said, “The issue Napo is talking about, talking about it, and practicing it does not align with Islamic worship and teachings, we are here today in the name of all Muslims and begging Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh that he should name the mallams and Imams that were given the contract to the public if their names are not there, he should retract his statement and also apologies to the Muslim communities within the country”.

“We are giving him a three-day ultimatum to retract and apologize otherwise we will use a different way”, they reiterated.

The Muslim group further went on to appeal to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to call his running mate to do the right thing.
