Why Ghanaweb blacklisted Sam Goerge, Prof Gyampo, other NDC faithfuls

One of Ghana’s leading online news portals Ghanaweb have blacklisted some key newsmakers from being given coverage on their platform.

According to an NDC activist Dzifa Gunu, this decision by GhanaWeb is due to their new owner, NPP MP, Dr. Ayew Afriyie.

His post read,” So, GhanaWeb was bought by NPP MP, Dr. Ayew Afriyie and this is what he is now doing.”

In a Business the decision the online news portal blacklisted Sam George, Lydia Forson, Ransford Gyampo, Kevin Taylor, Twene Jonas, Bongo Ideas, Paul Adom-Otchere and his “Good Evening Ghana” and Media houses that consider the Ghanaweb competitors.

The notice, nevertheless, gave some specific conditions under which those banned can be covered including when Sam George is addressing the floor of parliament, when Ransford Gyampo speaks as an executive of UTAG and when Paul Adom Okyere comment on his capacity as the chairman of Ghana Airport Company Limited.
