Ghanaweb stops journalists from publishing anti-NPP stories

Ghanaweb one of Ghana’s leading digital news and online advertising portal has barred it Journalist from publishing anti-NPP news stories. 

In a decision they describe as Business, the online news portal barred it Journalists from covering some key personalities popular known for their constant criticism of government which is considered as anti-NPP.

The online news media in short statement to it workers both old and new stated, “this is a reminder for everyone and a first-time notification for those who have just joined us that we have made crucial decisions regarding the coverage of certain newsmakers,” their statement read.

The noticed informed Journalist of Ghanaweb not to write stories about some person, listing the following individuals known for their constant criticism of government, they include, Sam George, Lydia Forson, Ransford Gyampo, Kevin Taylor, Twene Jonas, Bongo Ideas, Paul Adom-Otchere and his “Good Evening Ghana” and Media houses that consider the Ghanaweb competitors.

The notice, nevertheless, gave some specific conditions under which those banned can be covered including when Sam George is addressing the floor of parliament, when Ransford Gyampo speaks as an executive of UTAG and when Paul Adom Okyere comment on his capacity as the chairman of Ghana Airport Company Limited.
