The Black Star legend shared his confusion as to why such exceptional players, including the best player and top scorer in the Ghana Premier League do not get called into the national team.

He made this call when he appeared before the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports.

“Ghana Premier League top scorer should be in the Black Stars. The players perform and when they are neglected, it’s even leads to depression because the ultimate aim of every local player is to perform and get a chance in the Black Stars.”

“There should be equal opportunities and players shouldn’t be at a disadvantage just because they play in Ghana. If we continue this process, no good player will be willing to stay and play in the Ghana Premier League.”
