In a shocking event the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has destooled Opanin Kwaku Kyere, the Ejisu-Kyerekrom Dikro, following his breach of the Great Oath. This sacred oath is a cornerstone of Ashanti tradition, symbolizing trust, integrity, and loyalty within the Ashanti Kingdom.
The destoolment, announced on Tuesday, 17 September 2024 marks a serious response to what is deemed a profound violation of the Ashanti Kingdom’s values.
