Leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong, has threatened to pull developmental projects from the Kintampo North constituency if they refuse to vote the party’s parliamentary candidate in the constituency to office.
According to him, the constituency has not shown reciprocity to the NPP party for all the developmental projects and good done them all these years.
“If you don’t vote for us and then still ask for developmental projects….Then I will personally make sure that the Astroturf, I am the chairman and I can ask Ghana Gas to do it for you but I will not do it. This is because you will note vote for us. You will take all things in this world from us but you won’t vote for us.
The politician disclosed that the Controller and Accountant General and the Director General of Immigration were all appointed from the constituency but “you were not content. So what else do you want?”
Speaking in all sincerity during a campaign durbar held in Kintampo, he indicated that the NPP always gives the people of Kintampo all the money they want, “and you will say you are NDC and go and vote for the NDC people.”
He challenged the chiefs and people to make history and for the first time vote the NPP parliamentary candidate to office, if they want to enjoy unprecedented levels of development.
“You have testified that we have brought development to you and it is testament of what we have done and can do for you. We beg you, for once please vote for us for the first time in 32years,” he appealed.
