Ghanaian Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has been honored with YouTube’s prestigious Gold Creator Award, recognizing his achievement of over one million subscribers on the platform. The award, which Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Flex, revealed in a recent Facebook post, had been kept private until now.
Flex shared the news and expressed gratitude for the support from fans. “This is for Shatta Wale’s YouTube page for reaching one million subscribers. My man had been keeping it hidden in his room until I visited his apartment last weekend. Congratulations to all Shatta Movement fans worldwide for making this milestone possible, and kudos to our boss Shatta Wale for consistently exceeding expectations. The hard work is truly paying off,” he wrote.
Shatta Wale, a leading figure in Ghana’s music scene, is celebrated for his string of hit songs and a slew of prestigious awards. Fans are eagerly anticipating his upcoming 14-track album, SAFA, set to be released on September 20, 2024.
