Parliamentary Candidate hopeful for the Asuogyman constituency, on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Pius Enam Hadzide, has promised students unfettered access to his home and person.
Addressing a group of students who had come to his home, the politicians encouraged the students to feel free to come and visit him at home, any time they had the opportunity.
“This is my house so when you get exeat or you have the opportunity to go out and you want to come and say hello you can freely come,” he can be heard telling the students in a video sighted on X.
Another individual who was standing next by him, supposedly a teacher of the students quickly added, “on exeat oooo,” emphasizing that the visit to the politician can only be through legal means, thus students must acquire an exeat.
Pius who obviously wanted to prove his connections at not only the national level, but the local level added to the delight of the students, “The headmaster is my friend and I have a lot of good friends in your school so exeat should not be an issue.”
The students were obviously impressed by the offer and seem to be eager to take it on.
With the 2024 December 7 election around the corner, politicians and parliamentary candidates are in a frenzy, eagerly seeking to retain their seats and for some of them go to parliament for the first time or re-enter parliament again.
Pius Hadzide is one politician who seeks to enter parliament for the first time. In 2012, Pius Enam Hadzide was the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for the Ketu North constituency of the Volta Region but could not win the seat. The politician has now shifted to the Asuogyman constituency, hoping to have his fortunes turned.
