Ghanaian lawyer and content creator, known by all as, ‘The Law Gh’ on social media, has revealed that it is unlikely for Prophet Salifu Amoako’s son Esrald, who recently killed two people in an accident in East Legon to be jailed.
In a video posted on his X page, he explained that the law in Ghana does not allow juveniles to be jailed irrespective of their offence.
“Nothing really serious can happen to this child however, it’s theoretically possible to shift blame to the parents and the other family also has every right to sue the child and parents for loss of life expectancy” he said.
He went on to state that, the accused also cannot be kept there for more than six months.
“In case of serious crimes such as murder, he can be held for three years” but I don’t believe murder applies in this case he noted.
